Terannie Vázquez, Ph.D.

Terannie Vázquez-Álvarez, who studied at Universidad Metropolitana with the Model Institutions for Excellence scholarship in science and completed a BS in Chemistry, obtained her Ph.D for research conducted at the Center for Bioelectronics & Biosensors of the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, on April 17, 2009. Her dissertation was on "Highly Sensitive Nanomaterial Based Electrochemical Biosensors." She received her degree from President Barack Obama, who was the main speaker at the spring commencement ceremonies.
